CO-HOST Final Conference: A Three-Year Journey Concludes
On 3 December, the University College of Business proudly brought together partners, experts, teachers, and students for the Final International Conference of the CO-HOST Project, a moment that marked the closing of an inspiring three-year journey across the EU and Western Balkans.
What began as a shared mission to strengthen VET mobility, sustainable tourism, and hospitality has grown into a vibrant network of cooperation, knowledge exchange, and real transformation.
One of the most meaningful achievements of the project was the opportunity for students from the Western Balkans to travel to EU partner institutions, gaining hands-on experience and seeing firsthand how European businesses in hospitality and tourism operate. Their stories, full of growth, courage, and discovery, were at the heart of today’s conference.
Partners from Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia & Herzegovina, together with colleagues from Italy, Greece, Portugal, and Bulgaria, reflected on the results we have achieved:
- a strong and sustainable network of institutions;
- a shared vision for greener, more responsible tourism;
- policy recommendations shaped by real-world experiences;
- new competencies and professional pathways for VET students;
- long-term collaboration that extends beyond the project itself.
Although CO-HOST officially concludes, the message today was clear: this is not the end.
It is the first step toward new collaborations, new projects, and a continued commitment to empowering youth, strengthening VET systems, and building a more sustainable future for our region.
We extend our deepest gratitude to every partner, expert, student, and contributor whose dedication made this project truly successful.
Here’s to what we built together, and to the many journeys yet to come.
