Abstract

Our paper focuses on the scientific research and development in Albania for the period
2021 to 2022, according to the personnel engaged in the performance sectors and
university education level.
This paper is based on secondary data provided by INSTAT (Institute of Statistics, Albania)
on the topics: Science, Technology and Innovation, Research and Development (INSTAT
(Institue of Statistics, Albania), 2022). The methodology used in this paper is the
descriptive method, based on comparative statistical analyses expressed as a percentage
(%) regarding the personnel engaged by the performance sectors and university education
level for 2021-2022.
Through the descriptive method, we have processed tables and graphs and have produced
the comparative statistical analyses expressed in percentage (%), regarding the staff
engaged according to the sectors of performance in the university education level (Deda, E;
Pacukaj, S; Vardari, L, 2020). In addition, with special emphasis in our paper is to highlight in
which sectors of the performance there was the highest percentage of engaged personnel.
Also suggesting some government policies related to the research, development and
innovation with impact on the socio-economic growth are important to our paper (Deda,
Brajshori, & Krasniqi, 2020).
